Tragedy struck yesterday, and before the shock had even settled, the videos began rolling out. Bold thumbnails. Alarming titles. Faces and fonts designed to stir suspicion and harvest views.
The body is not even buried, but the internet is already busy turning a human life into content. No silence. No respect. Just a race to ride the wave while it is relevant.
This is the sickness of our age: human suffering packaged for algorithms. People chasing virality instead of grieving, speculating instead of praying, exploiting instead of honoring.
But Christ calls us to something higher. “Let all that you do be done in love” (1 Corinthians 16:14). Love does not race to capitalize on death. Love pauses. Love grieves. Love honors the sacredness of a soul made in the image of God.
Do not let the world train you to see tragedy as content. Stand firm in faith, even when everyone else is scrambling for clicks. Because in a world where everything is commodified, real compassion will shine brighter than any thumbnail.
