Another headline. Another YouTube prophet. Another date circled in red as the supposed day of the rapture.
But here’s the reality:
“But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, but My Father only” (Matthew 24:36).
Every prediction contradicts Jesus’ own words. It’s not just wrong, it’s arrogant. When people claim they’ve cracked the code, they’re selling fear packaged as prophecy. And fear never produces faith.
Paul warned about this exact problem:
“For you yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so comes as a thief in the night” (1 Thessalonians 5:2).
If it comes like a thief, you can’t schedule it on a calendar. What you can do is stay awake, spiritually prepared, living daily in Christ’s presence.
Sensationalists thrive on panic, but panic doesn’t save anyone. Faithfulness does. The call isn’t to obsess over dates, it’s to walk in obedience today.
Reflection:
Are you chasing predictions or pursuing preparation? The difference determines whether you’re ready when Christ does return.
