Blaming God After Rejecting Him

Verse:
“A man’s own folly ruins his life, yet his heart rages against the Lord.” — Proverbs 19:3

Intro:
It is strange how quickly people push God out of their lives, out of schools, out of homes, out of culture, yet the moment tragedy strikes, His name is suddenly on everyone’s lips. When life is good, we live like He does not exist. When life falls apart, we rage at Him for not protecting us.

Reflection:
The Bible is blunt about this kind of hypocrisy. Proverbs 19:3 tells us that people’s own choices ruin their lives, yet they still blame God. We want the blessings of His presence without the relationship that comes with it. We want His protection without His lordship. But God is not a switch we flip on and off when it is convenient.

When society rejects prayer and truth, chaos will follow. When we live each day without seeking His wisdom or covering, consequences are inevitable. The real question is not “Where was God?” The real question is “Where were we when He called us to walk with Him?”

Prayer:
Lord, forgive me for the times I have treated You like an emergency button instead of my daily guide. Help me to walk with You in every season, not only in crisis. Teach me to trust Your ways and honor Your presence before disaster comes. Amen.
